Improving climate change policies and adapting to the effects of climate change.

JBA Consult Europe has provided the necessary expertise in the period 2021-2023 for the project "Strengthening institutional capacity to improve climate change policies and adaptation to the impacts of climate change", SIPOCA code 610, for the Water resources management sector. The project was co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), through the Operational Programme for Administrative Capacity (POCA) 2014 - 2020, Priority Axis: Efficient public administration and judicial system (project leader - ANM; final beneficiary - MMAP).

The project aimed to revise the current Climate Change Strategy and the National Action Plan for its implementation (2016-2020), together with the development of a new regulatory framework in the field of climate change on the direction of action adaptation to the effects of climate change for the period 2021-2030, based on the systematization and simplification of the current legislative framework, the creation and operationalization of the National Adaptation Platform and the National Climate Monitoring Centre, as well as the training of staff in the authorities with responsibilities in this area.
