Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest- technical university for the education of highly trained specialists in the fields of Industrial and Agricultural Civil Construction, Hydrotechnics, Railways Roads and Bridges, Installations, Technological Equipment, Geodesy.

World Wide Fund for Nature Romania- has been working in Romania since 2006 for the protection of the wild environment in the Carpathian Mountains and along the Danube, acting for the conservation and renaturation of lost or threatened natural areas. WWF stimulates the transition to the green economy and an environmental education program for young population.

Faculty of Power Engineering- established in 1950, it has permanently developed becoming an elite school in the technical higher education system of Romania. Within the departments of Hydraulics, Hydraulic Machines and Environmental Engineering, Energy Production and Usage, Electric Power Systems, about 2000 students are trained each year.

The Institute of Geography of the Romanian Academy (IGAR) - established in 1944, is the main institution of fundamental and applied geographical research in Romania. It carries out interdisciplinary research in the domains of Physical Geography, Human Geography and Environmental Geography.

The Faculty of Geography, Babeș-Bolyai University - is among the most dynamic entities of Cluj University. Of great relevance are bachelor's, master's programs and postgraduate programs (e.g.: Hidrology and Meteorology, Evaluation and Management of Geographical Hazards and Risks, Spatial modeling and analysis in ArcGIS and HecRAS environments, Coupled hydrological and hydraulic modeling for flood risk assessment on watercourses).
